Doctor of Physical Therapy

Born and raised in Harlem, Charles has been a lifetime athlete. From track & field to martial arts, he has practiced a wide variety of sports. During undergrad at Manhattan College, he completed an internship under the head strength and conditioning coach for baseball, softball, swimming, golf, volleyball, and track & field teams. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, he entered into the physical therapy program at SUNY Downstate.

At SUNY Downstate, he was the president of the orthopedic neuromuscular journal club, a position that allowed him to stay up-to-date on the latest research in physical therapy. As a student, he completed continuing education courses in rehabilitation for athletes. He also completed clinical affiliations in orthopedic, neurological, and sports PT. His treatment philosophy focuses on education, meaningful exercise, and exercise progression.

Outside the clinic, he strength trains most days of the week and occasionally works in Japanese-to-English translation. He looks forward to showing everyone how strong and resilient their bodies are.
