Cara graduated from New York University with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Prior to her professional studies, she obtained her Bachelor of Art in Economics and Chinese Language & Literature from Hunter College. Her love for movement started in Shanghai, China, where she was a group fitness instructor before becoming a strength and conditioning specialist.
